Welcome to Americans Abroad for Obama

Welcome to Americans Abroad for Obama

“And just as we keep our promise to the next generation here at home, so must we keep America's promise abroad…I will build new partnerships to defeat the threats of the 21st century: terrorism and nuclear proliferation; poverty and genocide; climate change and disease. And I will restore our moral standing, so that America is once again that last, best hope for all who are called to the cause of freedom, who long for lives of peace, and who yearn for a better future.”

— Barack Obama
2008 Democratic National Convention

Americans Abroad for Obama will enlist and engage American citizens living outside the United States in our movement to change American politics. Americans abroad are uniquely aware of the impact that our government’s policies have on the rest of the world, and recognize that it’s time for America to be seen as a global leader once more. Facing terrorism, climate change, rampant AIDS or the spread of weapons of mass destruction, America cannot challenge these threats on its own, and the world cannot defeat them without America. It’s time for us to lead.

Use this site to access talking points on Obama’s policies, positions and track record, to spread the word, and to involve your family and friends in this movement for change. On this site you can find events and like-minded supporters in your country, plan gatherings and share with one another your experiences as an American abroad. Also, do not forget how vital it is to us all that you contribute to the campaign financially and that you register to vote. Make this site your home away from home. Change begins here.
