Last weekend thousands of house meetings took place all across the country, as Obama supporters and their neighbors met to discuss the issues that concerned them most, and how best to make an impact in their own communities. The meetings spanned all fifty states, and were a visible sign of the enthusiasm and commitment that remains.
Michael in Ventura, California explained:
We had our first post-election meeting yesterday, and 94 people showed up! We were all amazed! Seventy-seven had sent RSVP's saying they would be there, and we thought that that would be a stretch. All I can say is WOW! We won the election, but the work has just begun.
