Motorcade Arrives at the Capitol Building

The motorcade procession is traveling down Pennsylvania Avenue to cheering throngs and utter masses of people cheering. People line the streets on both sides of the roadway. The Marine Corp Band is playing.

The path to the platform is to travel down Pennsylvania on the parade route past the old Post Office. It will take a left on Constitution Avenue and then they will take a right turn to arrive at the Capitol grounds.

At 10:58 am Eastern Time, the motorcade turned onto Constitution Avenue.

The Presidential motorcade arrived at the Capitol at 10:59 am Eastern Time.

First Lady Laura Bush and First Lady in waiting Michele Obama are arriving at the Capitol at 11:00am Eastern Time.

President George W. Bush and President Elect Barack Obama arrive at the Capitol Building at 11:01 am Eastern Time.
