On the Road to Economic Recovery: Largest Job Growth in Three Years

Big news out today: The Bureau of Labor Statistics just released its March jobs report, showing that the economy added 162,000 jobs last month -- the most jobs added in any month during the past three years.
To put it in perspective, this is a dramatic change from just one year ago. During the first three months of 2009, on average we were losing 753,000 jobs per month. Today, we learned that in the first quarter of 2010, our economy grew by an average of 54,000 jobs per month.
Check out this chart showing the job losses and gains from 2007 to today:
Today's news is promising -- but as President Obama has emphasized, with millions of Americans still looking for work, creating jobs and bringing about a full economic recovery continues to be the administration's top priority.
